Something different than a green smoothie? Which can! You have come a long way with red frozen fruit. The variant with the name ‘dark forest fruits’ works best. Keep in mind that there is a lot of sugar in this smoothie. This is due to the amount of fruit that is in it. That does not always matter, but perhaps you can better make it once a week. Do you want to drink smoothies more often? Then choose a green smoothie with lots of vegetables and little fruit. That is also a bit more nutritious.

Frozen fruit is healthy!

That frozen fruit would be less healthy than fresh fruit is a myth and not true. Once the fruit is picked, it immediately goes into the freezer. So no worries about all the vitamins and minerals, because they are simply retained. It is not very healthy because there are no vegetables in it, but of course very tasty! If you want to make it more nutritious than you can always add some spinach or other vegetables.

What you need

  • Frozen fruit – 350 grams
  • Banana – 2 pieces
  • Water – 100 milliliters

Make & Shake

  1. Peel the banana and cut it into pieces. This often mixes easier.
  2. Weigh the frozen fruit and put it in the blender together with the banana and the water.
  3. Mix everything until it is smooth. There may be some seeds in it, but there is nothing wrong with that.
  4. Pour the smoothies into a nice glass and enjoy!
