Breakfast: the most important meal of the day. I am someone who saves everything just in time in the morning but does not manage to eat before I leave. A drink breakfast is the solution, especially because in the morning I can only get yogurt or something similar.
That those packs of the supermarket’s breakfast drink are not the healthiest may come as a surprise, maybe not. Super handy and tasty but not very great in terms of nutrients: lots of added sugars, while the rest is not that much nutritious. I was also shocked by that, when I recently watched my breakfast to-go on the back . A healthier version than what is generally sold and yet I could not put half or say anything at all.
Sin and unnecessary! With this recipe you can make your own drinking breakfast. No extra sugars or substances that do not have to be in them and you also know what you put into your body. And it is homemade, that is secretly also a lot better of course.
What you need
- Hands orange – 1 large
- Banana – 1
- Half full yogurt – 200 ml
- Oatmeal – 75 grams
- Walnuts – 50 grams
Make & Shake
- Peel the banana and the orange. I find it most convenient to cut them into smaller pieces, that blend easier.
- Mix the fruit together with the yogurt, oatmeal and walnuts to make a smooth drink.
- Also very tasty: use as a topping some coconut shavings or some nuts
