water

One of the most common and inexpensive ways to work on your health is to drink enough water. But how much do you need and why?

The importance of moisture

Moisture is needed so that the intestines can absorb nutrients and so they can transport food and waste products. In addition, moisture is necessary when regulating the body temperature.

How much do you need?

On average, an adult needs 1.5 to 2 liters of fluid per day. The exact amount depends on the effort a person makes (a lot or little sweating), the temperature, the food you get, your age and your health.

In addition to the recommended 1.5 to 2 liters that you drink, you also get fluid through your diet. How much this depends on your diet.

What can you drink the best?

Now you can think of a nice red wine with moisture, but under the right form of moisture the food center understands water or tea and coffee without sugar. I would not advise you to drink a lot of coffee, keep it at a maximum of four cups of coffee per day.

There are also a number of benefits to drinking coffee. For example, two to four cups of coffee per day would reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke by 10%.

Pimp your glass of water

You may find water boring a bit boring all day long. Then you can always go for tea with different flavors, or pimp your glass of water:

  • Add mint or mint (yes, can also just in cold water)
  • Add lemon or lime
  • Put a few slices of cucumber in your glass
  • Puree or mash some blueberries flat and then add water
  • Watermelon with mint is also a delicious combination

What is your favorite way of ‘pimping’ your water?

How do you prefer to drink your summer drink?
